The 2012 Redscare: Are we headed back towards the Bush years? Why Republicans are Hypocritcs. Some funnies!

All this talk about a wave election and Republicans taking back both chambers of the House is rather alarming to me. Now you’re probably going to say oh no here is your typical liberal blog about hating republicans yada… yada… yada…. But I am a different breed of liberal. I like guns, guns are fun to shoot, and in case of an invasion of another country, our civilians are probably better equipped to handle themselves then our army! Yet I want the government to stay away from my personal life, who I choose to love and who I choose to marry is my business and none of thiers! As well as women’s rights to choose for themselves. I like to have security, however comprehensive security and open discussion with the rest of the world! I like our defect to go down, but We need to take care of our people here to, because there are still very hard working people in this country, and especially more so now, that need some help!

Are we willing to risk some descent forward progress in the first 2 years of this new administration to take a huge step backwards by electing a majority of republicans (with some of these being tea party activists)? Lets look at these insurgence for the Republican Party vying for senate in each state respected, Sharon Angle (R-NV), Joe Miller (R-AK), Ken Buck (R-CO), Rand Paul (R-KY),

and more… Is quiet frightening considering what they wanna do once they get into power! Now I thought that congress when bush was president was bad, they are even worse! But funny with all these people anger fueled and fired about how crummy the government is and how they don’t want to pay for poor people’s needs and want people to get a job. I have a note for them back in the good old days:

TO: Red States

FROM: Blue States

We’ve decided we’re leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we’re taking the other Blue States with us. In case you aren’t aware, that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and the entire Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of “New California.”

To sum up briefly: You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.  We get stem cell research and the best beaches. We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood. We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom. We get Harvard. You get Ole’ Miss. We get 85% of America’s  venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama. We get two-thirds of the tax revenue; you get to make the red states pay their fair share for once. We’re tired of doing all the paying while they leech off us!

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22% lower than the Christian Coalition’s, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms. Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and anti-war, and we’re going to want all our citizens back from Iraq  at once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they’re apparently willing to send to their deaths for no purpose, and they don’t care if you censor their children’s caskets  coming home because it’s too emotional for the nation to see. We do wish you success in Iraq, and hope that the WMDs turn up, but we’re not willing to spend our resources in Bush’s Quagmire.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80% of the country’s fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92% of the nation’s fresh fruit, 95% of America’s quality wines, 90% of all cheese, 90% of the high tech industry, most of the U.S. low- sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT. With the  Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88% of all  obese Americans (and their projected health care costs… not that  your government plans on paying for healthcare because it doesn’t  believe 47 million uninsured people is a lot and it doesn’t care that  20,000 people die a year because they don’t have money to pay for  healthcare), 92% of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the  tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists,  virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones  University, Clemson and the University of Georgia. We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Additionally, 38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62%believe life is sacred unless we’re discussing the war, the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61% of you crazy people believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties.

Finally, we’re taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirt weed they grow in Mexico.

Blue States

The United States of Fly Over. The Peoples Republic of New Blueifornia

I was forward this letter by a friend of mine during an election year. It is funny however is based on fact. What Republicans fight against is spending on programs that actually help thier constituents, yet thier constituents dont realize that, As in Whats the matter with Kansas?  The uneducated and rural areas who depend on federal aid yet the people they vote for cut that aid to them. It makes no sense to me. It is going to be a interesting election year. I am one of those angry democratic voters that voted in Obama. I find myself trying to remind myself to be pacient, its his first year and I need to give him a chance, as well as my choices are limited given the politics in my state are slim. But I hold my canidate to a higher standard and would like to believe I am my own independent mind and not a blind supporter of a party (Hence Colorado as a Purple state). This election is shaping up to be a very interesting one like I said, wether for the good, or the bad…. we’ll have to see about that.
